          September 28, 2021. I just reconnected with Andy Clement on

Facebook after forty years.I had no memory of this, but Andy sent me a group photo from his wedding that  was in 1981. I had the songs in

a folder dated 1983, but it's a fact, I'm in that picture. That makes sense. I got saved in 1981 and got deeply involved in church so my direction was changing from secular to sacred music. I didn't realize then that I could legitimately do both.

          I remember meeting Andy at a music store, Paragon Music in Pinellas Park, I believe. We got together many times but never played out anywhere that I remember. I know I lived in the house on Yale Street at that time. Andy was a Real Estate Appraiser. I'm not sure where I was working then.     

          With Andy's consent, I am posting 5 songs, 3 his and 2 mine, that we did together. I added harmonies, bass, piano, and guitar parts to his already magnificent tracks. His originals were done on a Reel to Reel. On my songs , he added his acoustic guitar and unison vocals. There was potential here I think. I've had four of the songs in my keeping all these years, and today Andy sent me a fifth one of his

that I had forgotten about, Lovesongwriter. It's such a strange and beautiful thing to be taken back in time and hear the melodies we expressed then. I hadn't heard this in 40 years and as I listened, my feeble old brain knew exactly where those lead parts were going!
