I think getting my Epson wide–format pro printer went a long way toward
making me feel like a real photographer. I displayed some of my musical instru-
ment photos at The Bluegrass Shop in St. Petersburg back in 2005. I didn't hear anything from them for a while, and I found out the owner had passed away. I remember his name was Eldon andhe had associations with some famous country music artists and had some of their photos up on his walls.
I did get the prints back.

September 22, 2005. I saw that Leonard Villano had hung up some of
the photos I'd done for him of the instruments in his store.

My good friend, Shirley Wyckoff Bench, was the Activities Director at Lake Seminole Square. She supported me in so many
ways, in my music and my photography. The exercise room was
a pretty good choice for an exhibition.
The folks in the business office liked me. Especially the CEO's secretary. I also hung a 15-foot panorama in there. Small stuff compared to Clyde Butcher's single print covering an entire wall.
My friend, Brent Woody, was the Music Pastor at this church. It never hurts to have friends in high places.

I worked at the Main Branch of the St. Pete Library in 1975 or
therabouts. Everyone on staff was different in 2005.
This was a curated exhibition in the heart of the Aquarium.
I sold one of my photos for $500.That sounds like a lot (it is) but
there was a lot of expense for materials & framing, and the curators
got their cut. Sold it to some guy in California, I'm told.
See my Contests page for more explanation about this. The exhibitions were part of the prize. I didn't have to do anything. They
gave me the prints after it was all over.

Creation Café, 2008
Charles & Laurie Gallagher started this little café on Seminole Boulevard. It didn't last long.
Seminole Music is close, but I didn't go there much. I did see Doyle Dykes and Pat Kirtley do a couple of Taylor Guitar clinics there
over the years. Oh, and Victor Wooten too; that was pretty special. This
is where I bought the Tacoma Papoose so many years ago.
