Dawn Johns was Donald Johns' wife. We lost Donald recently. He was the owner and engineer of Starlight Sound in Lake City, FL, the recording studio where Leilani Clark did Never Say Goodbye, and I did my first album, In The Balance. Dawn is the author of Grace Harbor. The Johns hired me to create background music to her readings from The Psalms. I only got as far as completing one of them, to my great consternation. They were very gracious about forgiving me. I don't know for sure, but I think their son, Matt Johns, completed the project.
Matt is a fantastic musician. When I met him, he was just off the road as vocalist with the Glenn Miller Orchestra. Yes, that Glenn Miller. Recently, Anne was
watching YouTube videos and saw one of a big band playing in a cow pasture. She
showed me because it was funny, but as I watched, I realized the lead sax player was Matt Johns. I confirmed it with him later. What are the odds of that?
The video uses some Celtic instruments that I love a lot.
