Brad Carlton / Head Of Steam

Brad Carlton, 2011

Brad was the worship team leader at The Bridge Church. I had actually taken some mandolin lessons from him when I first moved to St. Pete in the 70's and I worked at Breck Music in Clearwater. He's quite  a serious musician and well-connected in the area. He's married to another great player, Stacey Knights (sax) and a very sweet lady. I played bass in

The Bridge band on a borrowed bass as I'd lost my vintage Jazz bass

by then. Brad wrote arrangements, so it was challenging to be reading charts again. I know it stretched me, and I think Brad recognized my gifts.

I think I took these pics at a Bridge rehearsal at Cornerstone Church, which is where I met John Myers when he was music pastor there, and the church building at which Anne-Marie and I married. We

were attending Calvary Chapel South which never got a building.

Brad Carlton / Head Of Steam, 2012

Head Of Steam was the trio Brad was putting together. I don't know if they ever got off the ground or not, but I did these photos for them. That's Mike Conway, left, Mike ?, middle, and Brad Carlton, right.
