I found out Jim was doing a guitar clinic and concert about
a mile away from where we lived then. I showed up with my camera
and got some great shots of Jim. He used shots from this set as the artwork on his CD, Intrepid. I was disappointed it was the back cover instead of the front, but it was all unexpected anyway. He is an incre-
dible guitarist, voted Guitarist Of The Year by the IBMA several times.

Jim hired me to photograph the new
Jim Hurst model Gallagher guitar. He had just gotten it. I went to his hotel, did the photoshoot, and then drove him over to his concert
as guitarist with CLB
(The Claire Lynch Band).
I wasn't very familiar with Gallagher guitars, other than that Claire also played one, and what I had heard Doc Watson say about his on the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band's
Will The Circle Be Unbroken
album. Here are a few pics

one or two!
