I just got through writing 5 paragraphs explaining what I've read about the distinctions between egrets and herons. I've deleted all that. The last source said that, in fact, an egret is a type of heron. Egrets are smaller, are always buff or white, have shorter wingspans, and always have black
legs. Herons have orangeish legs and usually some body coloration. So, I'm presenting the herons and egrets together here. These are photos from 2018 through November 1, 2021. As of today, there are 552 photos on 19 pages.
